Frequently Asked Questions

1. I wish to create a User account

Under the "User login" section on the right hand side of your screen, click Create new account.

2. I can't view the flash animations or videos.

To see this content, you need Adobe Flash Player 8 or higher.  The latest version of the Flash Player can be downloaded here.

3. The text and images are cut off, or displaying inconsistently.

This website is optimized for use with the Firefox browswer.  Text and graphics may not display optimally on other browsers (eg. Internet Explorer, Safari).  The latest version of Firefox can be downloaded here.

4. How do I access the ISCAST Podcast?

1. Open iTunes
2. Click iTunes Store on the LHS menu
3. Under 'Search iTunes Store' type 'iscast podcast' and press enter
4. Click on the "ISCAST Podcast" link to view the talks
5. Click "Subscribe" to automatically download new talks to iTunes whenever they become available

5. Can I download the videos?

Yes.  A selection of ISCAST videos are hosted on Vimeo.com.  To download them, you'll need to sign up as a Vimeo member.  Here's how:

1. Visit http://vimeo.com/join
2. Click on "Sign Up For Basic"
3. Create a Username and Password
4. Once you are logged in to the site, you can find a download link for any video by scrolling down and finding the "About this Video" box on the right hand side of the screen.  Common video formats include .mov, .mp4 or .flv.
5. Please note that some of the videos are large (eg. >200Mb), as we do not control the video compression settings. These are specified by Vimeo.
