Where

St Paul's Anglican Cathedral Melbourne, Cnr Flinders St & Swanston St, Melbourne

Pause for a moment to reflect with us on the beauty of science, and thank God for the gift of his creation.

This is a worship service open to all, hosted by St Paul’s Cathedral and ISCAST. We especially welcome those who are in Melbourne for the International Congress of Genetics.

What is Evensong?

Evensong is a service sung in Anglican cathedrals and churches throughout the world. It is a quiet service of reflection at the end of the day. Sung by the minister and choir, Evensong invites us beyond ourselves and our daily troubles into the presence of God, giving us the space to pray for others, or, perhaps quite simply, to enable the beautiful music to wash over us.

Our Conference (22 July)

Looking for more in-depth discussions surrounding genetics, faith, and society?

The Scientific & Spiritual Human: Faith for Our Genetic Futures is a one-day conference on 22 July that aims to explore the intersection of faith and science in shaping humanity’s future. Join us as our discussion is led by an impressive lineup of experts from various fields on how faith can speak into being humans of the future (gene editing, human enhancement, etc.), and humans of the earth (biodiversity, caring for the planet, etc.).

Gather with us to discuss some of the most important topics within genetics and society, complete with talks, panel discussions, and Q&As. The goal of the event is to facilitate an open dialogue on the intersection of faith and science in shaping our genetic futures.
