ISCAST Perth: Can a Science Teacher Believe in God?

When

Thursday 4th Jun 2026 @ 7:00 pm –
Thursday 4th Jun 2026 @ 9:00 pm

Where

South Perth Uniting Church, 2 Sandgate St, South Perth WA

Dr Janene Sproul will speak on: “The recurring student question: ‘How can you believe in God and be a Science teacher?'”

Dr Sproul will move from a combination of the natural world and educational theory, into the contemporary school Science classroom where seeing no longer equals believing. In the 21st century classroom, the seeming dissonance between God and Science craves resolution. In a safe space students can be comfortable enough to ask (or challenge!) in front of 30 of their peers. How you manage the next 10 seconds can open opportunities or close any discussion.
