Sonia is a director of ISCAST and a secondary school teacher at Glenroy College, where she teaches science, Indonesian, maths, and chemistry. She completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Chemistry in 2017 at the University of Melbourne. She then achieved her Master of Teaching through the Teach for Australia program, a program that focuses on improving education in low socio-economic areas.
Sonia sees the sciences as a way to explore God’s creation so that humanity can better understand our role as its caretakers. During her time at university, Sonia was actively involved with the Melbourne University Christian Union Science Faculty in pursuit of connecting the fields of science and faith. She regularly attends Grace Church of Christ in Wantirna.
