About: Neuroscience is giving us the tools to better understand how our brains function. As a result many of the great philosophical and theological questions are being re-examined, among them the most basic question of all – “who am I? am I more than just a computer made of meat?” Assoc. Prof. Alan Gijsbers, who is a specialist physician in Addiction Medicine and a Christian theologian, will share with us in this free public lecture his explorations on the nature of the self in light of the developing field of neuroscience. There will be a time for questions and discussion following this lecture. This lecture is jointly sponsored by the GCRI and ISCAST.
